We will discuss other more commonly used products and the issues faced with each. We will also consider life cycle costs of various cladding options, including polymer. Finally, participants will leave with a thorough understanding of how to install polymer extrusions as cladding.

Joseph Pass has worked in the building industry for over 35 years. Most of his career has been spent working in Oregon, Washington, California and now residing in Salt Lake City, Utah with his wife Vikki. He has 3 children that visit when they have time off from college. He earned an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree from Chemeketa Community College in Salem Oregon. Early parts of his career include hands on experience in a wide range of building categories such as commercial tenant improvement construction, residential remodel, concrete flat work & for 9 years ran a successful company called Innovative Tile Concepts that focused on residential and commercial tile work. He has spent the last 21 years in the manufacturing side of the building industry working for companies such as James Hardie Building Products, Weyerhaeuser, IKO Roofing and now with The AZEK Company. His current position at AZEK is Business Development Manager of Railing for the Western US. In this role he works with Architects, Contractors & Suppliers to teach the technical side and advantages of the different railing systems that they offer. |
