Here, we will examine fire training facilities that can take the heat and prepare emergency personnel to save lives. Join us in this one-hour course as we discuss fire safety training in structurally sound facilities, NFPA 1402 and 1403 compliance and full scale predesigned and engineered products that can withstand the extreme environment of repeated fire training exercises.
Participants will be able to evaluate the sequence and sourcing for constructing fire training facilities and be able to compare between ad hoc product procurement and working with one source for an engineer stamped, project design.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify types of fire training structures, how organizations benefit from training in these facilities and the multi-purpose goals of constructing them, to provide the highest level of instruction for protecting human life.
- Compare and contrast the advantages of the different approaches in constructing structures for fire training, including masonry structures, steel structures, container systems and burn room liners, while also evaluating the types of materials to build them for intensive use.
- Delve into the codes that govern the construction of training structures, which are set forth in NFPA 1402 & NFPA 1403. We will focus on the components and classifications that guide their construction and continued use, to optimize the health and safety of trainees, and the lives they intend to protect.
- Evaluate case studies, to learn more about the site-specific benefits and applications of facilities to train tactical, law enforcement, military ops and fire-fighter personnel.
